Geoff grew up in Berala near Lidcombe in Sydney and attended Birrong Boys High School where he finished his Year 10 school certificate. Geoff was encouraged by his uncle to consider plumbing as he had done a bit of plumbing work on weekends during his school years. DJ Childs Plumbing in Canterbury offered him a plumbing apprenticeship and he spent most of his time working on plumbing maintenance and new roofs on commercial sites. At the end of Geoffs apprenticeship, he worked with a plumbing mate for 2years until the recession of 1973 when he returned to work with DJ Childs for a further 2years. While working with Grenell Mather doing sprinkler fittings for commercial and government premises for 3years, Geoff became a fully licensed plumber in drainage, gas fitting & plumbing design. Geoff began his own business in December 1978 and worked from the family home in Berala. He worked by himself for 4 years before he decided to take on an apprentice and from there grew to a staff of 20. Business growth forced him to operate from a commercial premise in Kerrs Road Lidcombe where he stayed for 30 years until he moved to Jellicoe Street Lidcombe. In 2001 Geoff was one of the first NuFLow licensees to introduce pipe relining as a more viable pipe repair option for residential plumbers. Geoff on Google+
